Dear 6th Ward Resident: It appears that our ward may receive an nice holiday gift with the arrival of single – stream recycling. Beginning possibly before Christmas (weather permitting) the Refuse Department will begin the placement of city recycling dumpsters in 6th Ward alleys. Depending on the volume of trash collected, the Refuse Department will determine which alleys will receive one or two recycling dumpsters. City Residents Offered Free Firewood

The City of St. Louis Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry will offer free firewood to City residents starting Monday, November 8, 2010 on the Lower Muny Opera parking lot in Forest Park. The wood is available most days after 3 p.m. Monday-Friday. All wood comes from the removal of dead or damaged trees from City streets and parks.
