According to a Department of Justice study, about 58,200 children are abducted each year by non-family members (with about 45 percent of those incidents being perpetrated by strangers). This startling statistic prompted the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) to launch the Nation Child Identification Program (NCIDP). This past Sunday, I did something I always wanted to do, but have never taken the time out to participate. I took the 16th Annual Grand South Grand House and Garden Tour. This tour had 14 different stops throughout five neighborhoods bordering South Grand Ave. We toured homes and gardens in Compton Heights, Compton Hill Reservoir Square, Shaw, and my neck of the woods: Tower Grove East and Tower Grove Heights.
