Last November our community experienced something that we hadn’t seen for a long time.

Hope.

It was the hope that our region was going to pull through and work together to create a better society. Like all reform these things happened in the simplest way; people coming together to create art on top of the plywood that covered the shattered windows on South Grand.

We proved that by working together we could make things better than they were before.

Please join us on Tuesday, March 31 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Rooster on South Grand (3150 South Grand) for a reading by the author of Painting for Peace, Carol Swartout Klein. This children’s book showcases the artwork from those boarded up windows in Ferguson and South Grand. Please join us, support the book, enjoy some dinner and drink while reflecting with your neighbors. Books will be available for purchase during this time.

We hope you can join us.
