Hello TGE,

My wife and I moved into the neighborhood last August. We live on the 3300 block of Halliday. Our home has storm windows on about 60% of the building, and we would like to install new storm windows on the missing 40%. Our goal is to increase energy efficiency, and longevity of our beloved history wooden windows. After talking with several local window vendors and some online research, we’ve come to the realization that increased energy efficiency will be minimal with the addition of storm windows alone. So here are my questions finally. First, are storm windows approved for installation in our neighborhood? Second, has anyone recently had this done on their own home with good results? Last, does anyone have experience adding insulation to the attic, crawl spaces, walls, etc. that would increase energy efficiency? Thanks for the feedback, we love our house and our neighborhood!
