South Grand, St. Louis, MO, October 7th to October 10th, 2010- In appreciation to its customers and community, and to celebrate its first year as the city’s leading Mediterranean restaurant, The Vine Mediterranean Cafe [3171 S. Grand Blvd] will host St. Louis’ First Annual Falafel Fest.
Falafel is an extremely popular Mediterranean treat made from chickpeas, vegetables, and spices. The ingredients are mixed, then formed into balls and fried. They are great in sandwiches, salads, or simply dipped in tahini sauce, made from sesame seeds, spices, and garlic.
“At The Vine, we believe that it is important to acknowledge the community and fan base,” says Ali Moshen, owner. “Our customers are very important to us. Without their support, we would not be here today. This is our way of thanking them: with delicious food!”
The Vine’s popularity is only increasing in the St. Louis market, with dozens of positive reviews in publications like the Riverfront Times, and on customer review websites like Urbanspoon.com and Yelp.com.
The Falafel Fest will feature two new falafel recipes available only during the Falafel Fest, and reduced prices on all falafel menu items. Live music is also scheduled to perform in the restaurant.
The Vine Mediterranean Café is renowned for its fresh, delicious Lebanese cuisine.
